Compensation: $16 per hour + tips

Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a patient, gentle, and talented Kids Hair Care Expert who loves working with children and textured hair. The ideal candidate is skilled in protective styles, wash-and-go routines, and detangling techniques – making every child’s salon visit a stress-free and empowering experience.
Responsibilities
👧🏽 Provide age-appropriate consultations tailored to young clients and their parents
📖 Educate families on proper textured hair maintenance and styling at home
🌀 Create kid-friendly styles, including braids, twists, and wash-and-go looks
💛 Ensure every child feels comfortable, confident, and cared for
🛍️ Recommend salon-approved products for at-home hair care
🧼 Maintain a clean, child-friendly workstation and follow salon sanitation protocols
📢 Stay updated on the latest textured hair techniques and trends for kids
🎉 Foster a fun, welcoming, and engaging salon experience for children and families
Qualifications
✔️ Licensed cosmetologist in Texas (or willingness to obtain)
✔️ Experience working with children’s natural, curly, and textured hair preferred
✔️ Ability to create kid-friendly styles with patience and care
✔️ Strong communication skills to keep young clients engaged
✔️ Passion for natural hair care and continuous learning
✔️ A positive, warm, and team-oriented personality
